Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse Major

This major is a program that generally prepares individuals in the knowledge, techniques and procedures for promoting health, providing care for sick, disabled, informed, or other individuals or groups.

Includes instruction in the administration of medication and treatments, assisting a physician during treatments and examinations, referring patients to physicians and other health care specialists, and planning education for health maintenance.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the many aspects of a patient’s care. An RN can evaluate patients, request medical tests, make diagnoses and dispense treatments. RNs work alongside physicians and fulfill the physicians’ treatment plans.
