Homeland Security Major

This is a program focusing on security policy, planning and operations dedicated to the protection of U.S. territory, assets, infrastructure, institutions, and citizens from external threats.

Includes instruction in national security policy, government relations, intelligence, law enforcement, security technology, communications and information technology, homeland security planning and operations, disaster planning and applications to specific threat scenarios

What can you do with a major/degree in Homeland Security Major?

A bachelor’s degree is preferred if your desire is to have a career in Homeland Security.  As well, some experts in this field have completed training as a police or protection officer or were in the military.  Examples of jobs include (but are not limited to) federal air marshal, surveillance agent, secret service agent, ICE agent, and cybercrime specialist.
